Spare Sensors are available to monitor extra tyres:
If you're after spare sensors the part numbers are TP-05S (internal valve) and TP-06S (external cap)
Do you know how much air is in your tires? How about in your trailer tires?
Most people do not! In US all new passenger cars are required to have sensors to measure tire pressure; and other countries are likely to follow. It is just as important to maintain the correct tire pressure in your caravan and trailer tires when you are towing.
Donât be a statisticâ¦
- 75% of roadside flats are caused by a slow leak or under inflation
- 250,000 accidents a year in the US are caused by under inflated tires
- 15% under inflation reduces fuel mileage by 1%!
Masten's tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) are designed to be installed directly in your car, 4x4, caravan, trailer etc tires to provide accurate pressure and temperature readings. A warning will trigger if your pressure is below your set pressure, and you can set your desired pressure range.
Benefits of the Masten system:
- Easy to install display with option to hard-wire or simply plug into cigarette adapter
- continuously updated pressure & temperature readings
- the ability to set your own baseline pressure
- high temperature warning
- unique adjustable valve design allows sensor to fit almost every rim design
External Cap sensors are a very convenient and lower cost option. Why are internal valves better?
- A sensor mounted directly inside your tire will provide a more accurate pressure and temperature reading however needs to be professionally fitted
- A cap design is DIY Install but can be damaged by a road hazard, can be stolen, may cause vehicle balancing issues, and can potentially provide inaccurate readings if installed incorrectly
Low Pressure Alarm Function:
The first alarm system will sound when the pressure is under or over 25% of the pressure you set, the second alarm will sound when under or over 30% of the set pressure.
For example, if you set the pressure as 30 psi the alarm will sound when under 22.5 or over 37.5psi as first alarm, then the second alarm will be on when under 21psi or over 39 psi.
Properly inflated tires will:
- Improve vehicle handling
- Increase fuel economy
- Reduce tire tread wear
- Improve safety and protect important items you are towing
Tyre Pressure Monitor System Description
The Masten TPMS is a Premium, High-End TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) with color LCD display wireless. This TP-05 TPMS Kit includes 4 Internal (professionally mounted) sensors. The benefit is reduced risk of loss. The downside is they are not as convenient to fit at the external cap style TP-06 sensors.

Why do you need a TPMS?
Optimal Driving Safety: Under-Inflated tire pressure will result in reduced vehicle stability / control ability and deformation tires, while the Over-Inflated tire pressure will increase your chances of a sudden flat tire.
Fuel Economy: With instant monitoring on the tire pressure, the TPMS device may save you up to 4% of fuel on average with proper tire pressure.
Extended Tire Life: Under-Inflated tire pressure will cause excessive tire wear by up to 50% more if the tire is Under-Inflated by 9%.
More environmentally friendly: Keeping the tire pressure at the correct pressure level can reduce CO2 emission up to 40%, helping to reduce the global warming effects.

The Preasure Is Off30 December 2015I recently purchased an internal Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with the dedicated display. I had been looking around on various forums and had seen good reports on DigOptions mainly for their head units and some for the TPMS. I did the search and found them on eBay as well as their direct web address. I wrang them and spoke to a real person who was helpful in helping me decide on which system was for me. So instead of having to complete a series of online hurdles I just handed of the CC details and was done. I also decided to get an additional sender for the spare wheel. Within a couple of days of ordering and paying for them, I received the parcel in the post. Since I was purchasing new rims and tyres it was the perfect opportunity to get them into the tyres without added costs of wheel balances etc. My car is a 76 series Landcruiser and to fix up a silly Toyota design fault you need to put neg 55 offset rims on the rear and 0 offset on the fronts. The internal part of the monitors fitted nicely to the 0 offset rims, hugging the inner rim nicely, however the neg 55 rims, since that are deep and have a large flat inner surface, the sensor protruded above the line of the rim. It wasn't a big issue but on some other systems they have the ability to adjust the sensor angle to avoid this sort of problem. (If I air down my tyres for sand work I need to be carful to not go too low or they will get squashed and broken. The spare will sensor did I not work out of the box and I needed to do a manual install of it. This took some time to work out as the instructions have a repeated section in it and I was going around in circles until I got so frustrated that I read the end of the manual first :) Once all 5 sensors were up and running I changed a few alarm points and the install was done. The screen of the monitor is easy enough to read. The only other down side could be that you cannot see all Tyers at once and you have to wait for the cycle of the tyres to scroll through to see them all. Obviously once an alarm is raised then that tyre will be the one to show up straight away. Overall..... Would I buy again? Yes Would I recommend them? Yes (better internal than external) Am I happy with the company? Yes Thanks and I hope you found this helpful. HG Rathdowney Qld
